Reporting directly to CBS but working day-to-day with the Data Privacy and Office of Ethics & Compliance (OEC) teams internationally, this role will provide integrated support across a range of risk-related processes throughout the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Privacy

  • Support on DSARs and other Data Subject Requests: providing support on the administration of DSARs and other data subject rights requests in accordance with SOPs and ad-hoc instruction. Work includes: performing initial reviews, redacting documents, assessing exemption applicability, preparing draft responses, liaising with cross-functional teams, maintaining repository and trackers, and escalating issues appropriately.
  • Support with Privacy governance tasks: providing support with administrative tasks related to Convatec’s Privacy Governance Framework. Work includes: monitoring privacy inbox and triaging requests, updating external-facing documentation, coordinating the distribution of privacy agreements, updating internal SharePoint sites, assisting with Privacy registrations,  building Records Of Processing Activities (ROPAs), maintaining BAU request trackers, and assisting with low-risk Privacy risk assessments.
  • Manage our privacy compliance system and the data supporting our Privacy Governance Framework: taking responsibility for maintaining and strengthening our privacy compliance system, the quality of our data and reporting, automating manual tasks and improving processes to enable our Privacy Team to scale globally.

Compliance

  • Reviewing compliance submissions: liaising as needed internally to assure completeness and accuracy of web portal submissions on Navex (third-party risk management system) and MedCompli (HCP consultant management and external funding requests).

Required Experience and Skills

  • University degree.
  • At least 3 years’ experience working in an in-house Privacy or Compliance role.
  • Experience working on DSARs or other similar legal disclosure exercises.
  • Basic knowledge of international Privacy laws, familiarity with Privacy concepts (including data subject rights, data minimization, retention, consent, DPIAs/PIAs, and records of processing), and willingness to learn more.
  • Familiarity with global Codes of Ethics in the life science industry, anti-bribery/anti-corruption laws and concepts, and awareness of risks inherent in financial relationships with referral sources.
  • Strong organizational skills, with excellent attention to detail and good time-management abilities.
  • Good communicator who is responsive and can work cross-functionally.
  • An analytical, solutions-orientated approach is a must, with sound problem-solving capabilities and eye for process improvement.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft (including Excel).
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken). Fluency in Chinese and/or Japanese is an advantage.
