About the Team
At Workday, we help the world’s largest organizations adapt to what’s next by bringing finance, HR, and planning into a single enterprise cloud. We work hard, and we’re serious about what we do. But we like to have fun, too. We put people first, celebrate diversity, drive innovation, and do good in the communities where we live and work.About the Role
Workday is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to lead complex, high-visibility programs and initiatives within Business Technology. The role will focus on orchestrating cross-functional execution, ensuring alignment with business priorities, and driving measurable outcomes.
We believe in being Customer Zero. This role will champion the adoption of our own technology to help build a better customer experience, for not only our internal customers, but external as well. This role ensures the successful delivery of Workday’s most meaningful initiatives. You will act as the key technical leader and a "force multiplier" for our critical programs that connect strategy to execution, orchestrate cross-functional delivery, and drive measurable outcomes—directly enabling Corporate Applications to achieve its strategic priorities.
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, multi-functional programs with significant executive visibility and business impact.
Translate strategy into clear execution plans with defined outcomes, milestones, and success metrics.
Anticipate risks and dependencies; proactively resolve issues to keep programs on track.
Establish governance, reporting, and decision-making structures that create clarity and accountability.
Partner with engineering, data, and business teams to ensure program objectives are achieved, including compliance, data quality, and platform scalability.
Use dashboards and metrics to supervise progress, provide visibility, and drive continuous improvement.
Serve as a trusted partner to senior leaders, ensuring alignment, clarity, and progress against commitments.

Our Approach to Flexible Work
With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
