PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The purpose of the principal-level Supply Chain Analyst role is to provide subject matter expertise and innovation in shaping the direction of the organization's supply chain function. The Principal Supply Chain Analyst serves as a visionary leader, driving transformative change, and influencing industry best practices. This role involves spearheading complex initiatives, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and driving sustainable growth through cutting-edge solutions and strategic partnerships. The Principal Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for shaping the future of supply chain management within the organization and positioning it as a leader in the industry. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Acts as a subject matter expert with wide-ranging experience using professional concepts in developing resolution to critical issues and broad design matters.

  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel Provide business/technical support to Corporate, Supply Chain, and Distribution Center personnel for Supply Chain system initiatives, including testing and implementing new technologies, functionality, or system or user enhancements.

  • Develop standardized reporting/dashboards as per business needs.

  • Develop and support knowledge transfer for process changes, system implementations, business requirements gathering, and best practices.

  • Responsible for triaging issues, finding root causes for problems, and corresponding solutions with team members from the rest of the Supply Chain Solutions Team and DTI.

  • lead continuous improvement projects and ensure project teams complete deliverables on time. 

  • Advanced critical thinking and root cause corrective action mindset to develop solutions and drive strategic initiatives.  

  • Identify issues, evaluate resources needed to correct issues and model and present solutions to senior management. 

  • Assist with the development of KPIs and measurement tools.

  • Execute within required timelines on high-level projects assisting senior leadership where needed. 

  • Cultivate and maintain successful relationships with other functional departments and business colleagues from various business units. 

  • Facilitate and present data at an executive level.

  • Cultivate and maintain successful relationships with other functional departments and business colleagues from various business units. 

  • May assist junior-level staff with general tasks that require a better understanding of processes as directed by immediate supervisor.

  • Proactive identification of future best practices for daily operations and analytics/relevant BI tools.

  • May refer to senior-level staff for assistance with higher-level problems that may arise.

  • Escalate issues to supervisor/manager for resolution, as deemed necessary.

  • Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.

  • Assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor.

  • Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION:

  • None

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Major’s Preferred: Engineer, MIS, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration 

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:  

  • 8+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree; 5+ years of experience with Master’s degree

  • Relevant advanced degree preferred. 

  • Advanced critical thinking and root cause corrective action mindset to develop solutions and drive strategic initiatives.

  • Has advanced Excel/relevant software skills for applicable systems/tools. 

  • Ability to offer unique insight not identified by other analysts in their relevant field. 

  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement those changes while working closely with cross functional stakeholders. 

  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results.

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships.
