We are looking for a Principal Member of Technical Staff to join our Posting team within the Revenue Cycle Management R&D organization in Chennai.

athenaCollector is a cloud-native, AI-enabled Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) platform that streamlines the end-to-end claims lifecycle and downstream revenue operations for provider customers. Built on a modern, highly scalable stack, the platform combines a rules-driven claims engine to automate triage, reduce denials, and improve first-pass acceptance. athenaCollector provides sophisticated AR follow-up workflows, remittance processing, and payment posting—automatically reconciling remittances, routing exceptions, and surfacing prioritized worklists so teams can focus on high-value recovery. With real-time, explainable analytics and rigorous healthcare security and compliance controls, athenaCollector helps providers accelerate reimbursements, maximize revenue, and concentrate on patient care.

About You

You are comfortable working on business-critical financial systems that require high levels of correctness, reliability, scalability, and maintainability. You also understand how automation and intelligent systems can be applied thoughtfully to improve workflow efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Key Responsibilities
· Design and build robust software solutions for the Posting team within the broader RCM platform.
· Develop products and services that support critical revenue workflows involving payments, posting, reconciliation, transaction processing, and financial data movement.
· Convert business requirements and user stories into scalable technical designs and working software.
· Deliver high-quality software aligned with R&D expectations for security, performance, reliability, longevity, and integration testing.
· Contribute to improving workflow efficiency through thoughtful use of automation, data, and AI/ML-driven approaches where appropriate.
· Support solutions that help improve categorization, routing, and reduction of manual customer or operational touches.
· Work across the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
· Estimate development work and contribute effectively within Agile teams.
· Follow and influence coding standards, architectural patterns, and engineering best practices.
· Collaborate across engineering, product, operations, and domain stakeholders to solve complex revenue cycle challenges.
Typical Qualifications
· 12–18 years of experience in software engineering.
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
· Strong software engineering and computer science fundamentals.
· Hands-on experience in one or more programming languages such as Java, Perl, Python, and TypeScript/JavaScript.
· Experience working in an Agile environment and across the SDLC, including development, deployment, and production support.
· Strong understanding of Unix/Linux, SQL, NoSQL, and related technologies.
· Experience with PostgreSQL and relational database design for enterprise applications.
· Experience designing and developing solutions on AWS.
· Experience building and operating applications in AWS environments using ECS/EKS.
· Familiarity with version control and collaboration tools such as Git and Bitbucket.
· Experience with object-oriented programming, relational databases, distributed systems, and RESTful APIs.
· Demonstrated experience leading or developing high-quality, enterprise-scale software products using a structured development lifecycle.
· Familiarity with modern AI/ML concepts and interest in applying them to workflow automation, categorization, and operational efficiency is preferred.
