About the Role

The role involves managing the software project, ensuring adherence to the agreed product quality, schedule, and cost targets, as well as following the defined processes for the software project

What You Will Do

  • Lead cross-functional teams (MCU, DSP, Test) in daily project execution, fostering a collaborative project team environment 

  • Develop and update plans for project-specific software development, including schedule, cost, and resource planning  

  • Identify and prioritize activities to be executed by the software project team 

  • Coordinate the planning of software requirement management, software configuration, change request management and software quality assurance 

  • Monitor software project processes using defined measurements for costs, schedule, and quality in software development

  • Maintain RAID (Risk, Assumption, Issue, Dependencies) logs & track them closely. Proactively mitigate project risk and resolve issues in a timely manner

  • Regularly reports the software project status to direct manager and stakeholders

  • Implement and review software architecture design and some high-level designs in line with global cross function teams

  • Participate in internal and customer driven design / issues reviews throughout the program

  • Following a defined software development process, including unit testing, integration testing, etc

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Bachelor major in electronics, embedded programming, software engineering, computer science or related 

  • Minimum of 10 years of working experience in the automotive industry. Among these, 4+ years of embedded software development experience, 4+ years of software project management experience. Solid knowledge and extensive programming experience of C/C++ language

  • Familiarity with automotive V-model, and software engineering process including requirement, design, coding and testing. Knowledge of software process standard, such as CMMI, Automotive SPICE, Agile, etc.

  • Strong knowledge and experience with MCU/CAN/UDS/AUTOSAR/Embedded OS

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and communicate positively

  • Fluency in spoken English. 

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Familiarity with audio processing. 

  • Experience in leading a software project team to achieve ASPICE Level 2 in assessment

  • Fluency in a second foreign language, such as Korean, Japanese, German, French, etc.
