What will you do?
The primary purpose of this role is to provide engineering input to solve our Client’s water challenges, and deliver innovative and sustainable water, wastewater and recycled water treatment planning and design solutions for Aurecon’s clients. You will be a key member of a team of highly skilled specialists that ‘bring ideas to life’ through a combination of technical knowledge, experience and innovation.
Here are some of the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’:
Planning, design and coordination of piping systems for water and wastewater, pump stations, water distribution networks and treatment plants.
Civil design of infrastructure including earthworks, concrete structures, access roads, and drainage systems.
Development of Hydraulics and water balance calculations and models
Preparation of detailed drawings, models, and specifications using design tools such as Water Gems, Sewer GEMS, Civil 3D, 12D, Open plant, AutoCAD, QGIS
Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams (e.g. mechanical, process, electrical) to ensure integrated and constructible designs.
Technical input during planning and feasibility stages, including constructability reviews, material selection, and cost estimates.
Support during tender and construction phase, including site inspections, responding to queries, and ensuring designs are implemented correctly.
What can you bring to the team?
You're a curious and determined Civil/Piping Engineer who wants to fast-track your technical development. You'll bring:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or similar.
Experience working in a consultancy environment, with a strong understanding of project delivery, client interaction, and commercial awareness.
Experience in or a demonstrated passion for water and wastewater treatment and sustainability
Experience coordinating with services and utilities
Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders.
A proactive approach to problem-solving, innovation, and continuous improvement in design practices.
Familiarity with 3D model space design
