In this role, you will play a crucial part in defining, implementing, and optimizing analog design flows and methodologies to enhance efficiency, quality, and predictability across our innovative product portfolio.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, evaluate, and deploy advanced analog design methodologies, tools, and flows for various analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits.
- Work closely with analog design teams to identify current methodology limitations, gather requirements, and propose innovative solutions.
- Automate repetitive design tasks and create scripts (e.g., Python, Perl, TCL) to improve design efficiency and reduce human error.
- Define and document best practices, design guidelines, and standardized procedures for analog design and verification.
- Provide technical support and training to analog design engineers on new methodologies and tool usage.
- Evaluate and integrate third-party EDA tools into existing design flows, performing benchmarks and assessing their effectiveness.
- Collaborate with CAD teams to ensure smooth integration of custom tools and scripts into the overall design environment.
- Participate in design reviews and provide expert input on methodology-related aspects.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in analog design methodologies, EDA tools, and industry trends.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design quality, robustness, and time-to-market.
Job Qualifications
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in analog IC design with a significant focus on design methodology or CAD tool development.
- Solid understanding of fundamental analog circuit design principles (e.g., amplifiers, ADCs, DACs, PLLs, LDOs).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or TCL for automation and flow development.
- Strong experience with industry-standard EDA tools for analog design (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, AMS simulation environments).
- Experience with layout and post-layout verification methodologies (e.g., LVS, DRC, parasitic extraction).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and design data management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
