Raytheon is looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join the Air and Space Defense Systems (ASDS) Mechanical Procurement team. You will report directly to the Sr. Manager of Mechanical Procurement, supporting multiple programs within the ASDS Strategic Business Unit. You will work with suppliers to obtain and negotiate pricing, as well as monitor and manage performance of assigned suppliers. This includes developing and maintaining compliant procurement documentation, updating business systems (SAP/PRISM) with the latest schedules/financial information, maintaining status and plans for program and management reporting. This is a remote position located in the United States.
What You Will Do:
- Preparation and issuance of RFx, Letter Subcontracts and Purchase Orders
- Place purchase orders of low to medium complexity in accordance with all regulatory (FAR/DFAR) and business compliance requirements for various procurements (primarily Firm Fixed Price).
- Perform price and/or cost analysis techniques in support of purchase order placements.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the most cost-effective acquisition of goods and/or services.
- Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships to secure the best terms and conditions.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure procurement activities align with business goals.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and quality standards.
- Maintain POs to ensure accurate and timely supplier delivery information is provided.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier performance.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to procurement and supply chain activities.
- Ensure adherence to Raytheon & RTX Corporation’s procurement policies and procedures.
- Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications you Must Have:
- A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an advance degree and 3 years.
- DoD procurement experience and knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS) – ability to place Purchase Orders over TINA dollar threshold

Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience communicating effectively both verbally and in writing with internal customers and suppliers.
- Must be able to handle multiple decisions based on dispersion of workload, program priorities, and program directions
- Proficiency to perform and comprehend price analyses, source selection/justification, with guidance as needed
- Experience with negotiation of price reductions and terms and conditions
- Knowledge of import / export regulations (ITAR/EAR)
- SAP System or PRISM experience
- Experience working in a Team environment collaborating with Material Program Managers, Operations, Quality, Production Control, Engineering etc.
- Ability to learn and effectively apply new tools, processes and procedures
- Ability to apply critical thinking to solve problems independently
- Experience with technical requirements of procured hardware and services – including Statement of Work (SOW) review
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
