The team & culture
This challenging and varied position is a great opportunity to discover the dynamic world of Private Banking. You will quickly build a large network, as you will work with many different colleagues and stakeholders within the domain. You will be part of a professional team consisting of around 10 colleagues. . The department enables the strategic direction and drives execution of segment strategies within Private Banking & Wealth Management, with a strong focus on digital innovation, risk, data-driven decision-making and pricing & proposition excellence. Together you are responsible for the Privat Banking domain to reach its commercial results. This will allow you to learn from other colleagues and teams within the department and better understand the business of Private Banking.

The role
The role of a pricing consultant is twofold: on the one hand, you are running the business and executing the pricing strategy, and on the other hand, you are working on strategic pricing projects to transform the business. As a Pricing Consultant, you are a driving force in furthering the pricing strategy together with your pricing colleagues. You play a leading role in the pricing strategy and tactics, establish clear pricing frameworks, steer the balance sheet of private banking and projects.
To illustrate, a pricing consultant is responsible for the list price of the Private Banking product portfolio in The Netherlands based on market trends, cost price and risks developments and/or the pricing strategy of competitors. As a pricing consultant, you are E2E responsible for the pricing strategy, which means you prepare a pricing proposal, involve all relevant stakeholders, present the pricing proposal in the pricing committee, and are involved in external communication and implementation into the relevant operational systems.
Examples of projects: optimizing the price model, price elasticity project, pricing for our new securities-based lending product, pricing for new payments propositions like FX spot and the savings strategy under several interest rate scenarios.
Daily you work together with two other pricing colleagues, a data analyst and several teams in BD&CX. Besides, you collaborate closely with (senior) stakeholders from Sales, Private Banking Digital Sales, Delivery Tribes (e.g. Daily Banking, Customer Data, Payments, Business Lending), Finance, Legal, Compliance, Credit and Market Risk Management. Moreover, you will become part of the Pricing Community DBNL to share best practices and align on pricing topics across products within ING DBNL.
