Here’s a Glimpse of the Job
The Postdoctoral Research Associate position is responsible for the development of hyperpolarized NMR and spectroscopy to characterize electronic structure. This position will design and implement experimental methods and technology that integrate parahydrogen induced polarization to achieve these goals.
Opportunities to Contribute
Design and execute research experiments while leading the development of the overall project.
Provide leadership within the research group and coordinate collaborative team efforts.
Mentor and support graduate and undergraduate students in their research activities.
Prepare and disseminate research findings through manuscripts, reports, presentations, and grant proposals.
Present project results at group meetings and other relevant scientific forums.
Participate in scientific seminars, conferences, and professional development opportunities.
Stay current with advancements and literature in the research field.
Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with all safety protocols and standards.
Qualifications
Appropriate PhD.
A well-qualified candidate for this position will also possess:
PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
In-depth research experience in biochemistry, bioorganic or medicinal chemistry.
Experience in advanced NMR methodology.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Contribution to team effort by working effectively with individuals.
Salary: Compensation will be commensurate based on the selected candidate's education and experience.
Special Note: Due to this position’s salary having all or a portion of it being funded by grants or contracts, the continuing salary and overall employment is contingent upon availability of these funds in the future.
Schedule: This is a temporary position for a maximum of 4.5 months.
