Job Description:

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities of this position will involve conducting research in sustainability in agriculture and teaching within the Department of Agricultural Education and Studies. The department focuses on teaching, learning, and communication processes, and integrates all three elements of the land‑grant mission—learning, discovery, and engagement. Our work emphasizes how educational processes influence and support a wide range of clientele in diverse agricultural settings.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

 An earned Ph.D. at the time of appointment in Agricultural Education or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of high school agricultural education teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with both quantitative and qualitative research methods, supported by examples of applied research or project work.
  • Demonstrated scientific writing and publishing experience.

The Department of Agricultural Education and Studies has as its focus the teaching, learning, and communication processes. All three elements of the land-grant philosophy - learning, discovery, and engagement - are part of the department's emphasis on the educational processes, and how these processes impact our clientele in a variety of agricultural settings.
