Summary of Job Duties:

The Research Technician promotes research and ensures that the integrity and quality of the research is maintained and is conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice Guidelines, federal regulations, sponsor guidelines, and institutional policies and procedures. He or she would also perform research assistance by processing biological samples, performing experiments, and managing and analyzing data.


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required. PLUS two (2) years of related laboratory or research experience preferred. Experience working in a laboratory or clinical research environment and basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and data management are also preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process and prepare biological specimens for laboratory analysis.

  • Perform laboratory experiments and procedures following established research protocols.

  • Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and inventory.

  • Collect, record, and maintain accurate research data and documentation.

  • Assist with data analysis and preparation of reports or presentations.

  • Maintain organized research records, including experiment logs and protocol documentation.

  • Ensure research activities comply with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), federal regulations, sponsor requirements, and institutional policies.

  • Follow laboratory safety standards and assist with protocol documentation.

  • Coordinate research activities, including scheduling experiments and organizing materials.

  • Assist with preparation of study materials, reports, and research publications.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
