THE JOB:
As the Pool Operations Manager of New York New York, you will lead the day-to-day operations of our vibrant pool experience, ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless, safe, and memorable escape. In this dynamic role, you will oversee all aspects of pool operations while upholding departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures, and guiding your team to deliver service that consistently exceeds expectations. With a strong focus on elevating the guest experience, you will inspire a culture of engagement, accountability, and excellence—playing a key role in our commitment to own the guest’s experience and create WOW memories that last long after their stay.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Ensure team members are attentive to their duties and comply with company policies regarding guest safety and welfare
Maintain smooth, cost-effective operations, including labor management, service supervision, and inventory control
Manage opening/closing duties of the pool area and ensure proper appearance of the pool deck
Partner with Enterprise Analytics to determine cabana and chair rates to effectively yield and drive revenue
Provides input into strategic plans to grow revenue streams, effectively recognize areas of opportunity for cost containment to surpass budgeted objectives
Supports departmental strategies for guest service, team cooperation, financial responsibility, and asset management.
Facilitate and maintain consistent pool safety programs, training, and documentation to ensure the overall safety of guests in the pool area and to be in compliance with health district regulations
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Bachelor's Degree required
Must be 21 years of age or older
Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays required
2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience required
Previous experience in a pool operations management role preferred
Knowledge on pool health and safety regulations preferred
Previous experience managing employees under a collective bargaining agreement preferred
