Intel is looking for a Platform Debug Technologist that integrates, validates, and debugs software across the stack for a specific product, platform, feature, or technology. Designs and develops a software validation environment, the integration, and the enabling of the software stack. Responsible for the creation of validation plans, automation, associated methodologies, and triage and debugging of failures. Writes validation standards and procedures, analyzes the results to ensure correct functionality, triages failures, and recommends or develops corrective action. Assesses the state of the art and employs new methods to improve quality, automation, and product release efficiency.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Hands in debug of platform SW/FW/HW/OS issues to isolate faulting component using relevant logs/tool
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support platform execution and resolve issues, particularly with a technical hands on focus in multiple fomains like core, graphics, AI (NPU/IPU) and associated power management and performance requirements
  • Technical leadership to manage debugs and sightings for action, debug progress and disposition.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience may be obtained through coursework, academic projects, research, or relevant internship experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM fields.

Experience: 7+ years of hands-on experience with transferrable skills in one of the following fields:

  • Post Silicon Validation
  • System Firmware/Software development
  • System Software Validation
  • Integration, and Debug
  • Customer Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience validating and integrating gaming and graphics functionality on Windows OS platforms.
  • Advanced understanding of computer system architecture, focusing on gaming use cases and their correlation with CPU and Graphics features.
  • Expertise in scripting languages such as Python or Shell to support automation and debugging activities.
  • Strong analytical skills for transforming data into actionable insights and solving complex technical problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across teams to drive innovative solutions. Proficiency in software debugging techniques and tools such as WinDBG, ETL, and protocol analyzers.
  • Familiarity with Windows OS triage, debug practices, power and performance benchmarking, optimization techniques, and software integration processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute software test scopes, analyze and map requirements, and address quality and validation priorities.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $149,600.00-245,160.00 USD

 

 

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Work Model for this Role
