Information about the position 

As a Physical Security Specialist, you will be a part of the Group Security domain, supporting the whole Vinted organisation. Within the team, we manage technical and organisation measures that protect our assets, information, and personnel from physical threats and vulnerabilities. The current focus is on the expansion of Vinted Go’s logistics business, while also maintaining, supporting and expanding current physical security infrastructure in other locations.

In this position, you’ll 

  • Manage and oversee the installation and maintenance of physical security infrastructure (e.g. OS and firmware updates, fault monitoring and recovery, backups, system security controls), including access control, CCTV, and alarm systems
  • Conduct physical security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential security and privacy risks
  • Design technical solutions for onsite personnel to improve incident deterrence, and response time (e.g. secure workstations for controlled direct access to CCTV footage, AI-enabled capabilities)
  • Develop software integrations and automations across systems (e.g. integrating physical access permissions with workforce directory)
  • Define technical requirements and authorized standards for security hardware and software
  • Support with principal design and oversee new premise openings, to verify that security measures are in place and operating as designed.
  • Define and consult on physical security software and hardware that protect our assets, information, and personnel
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to establish physical security policies, processes and documentation
  • Assist during incident investigations

About you 

  • Well versed in principles of physical security solutions (hardware and software)
  • Attentive to details and skillful in problem solving with integrity and professionalism 
  • Excited to drive technological innovations and constantly improve our security posture
  • Flexible on on-site locations’ visits when required (approx. 6 times per year)
  • Basic development skills with at least one programming or scripting language (e.g. Go, Python, Ruby, etc.) and willingness to learn
  • Proactive in taking ownership and dedicated to achieving excellence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
