Performance (ME) Engineer Intern

US-ID-Idaho Falls (Nuclear) Full time

Your Challenge:

  • Learn features of a condition based and thermal performance monitoring software, who it can detect issues, optimize efficiency, quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Collect data and interprets results, conduct analysis and write analysis and reports.  Capability to draw conclusions and reconcile differences between predicted and actual results.
  • Build models of power plants and equipment assets for condition based and thermal performance monitoring.
  • May assist with provide training of software and/or technical support to customers.
  • Assist with the test of our beta software using various methods and tools


 

Requirements:

  • Working towards a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • This is an onsite Internship, only apply if you are able to live in Idaho Falls for the summer
  • Have a foundational understanding of, or desire to learn thermodynamics and heat transfer relating to power plants.
  • Good problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be a team player and have knowledge of MS Office suite.
  • Having programming skills is a plus (Python, etc.).
