In the EMEA payroll team, we are responsible for the salaries of our colleagues from 40 countries in EMEA. We serve approximately 6,000 employees in, among others, Poland Denmark, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Israel, Sweden, South Africa, Turkey, the UK and the Middle East countries. The primary mission of our department is to ensure that all employees of the EMEA Rockwell and Cubic region receive correct compensation following applicable legal regulations and company policy.

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist who will manage the daily support of our employees in Rockwell in Poland. Our team includes committed and passionate people who are responsible for EMEA countries (some of them in the country's native language), specialize in project management, implementing improvements in the team work with EXCEL.

You will report to the EMEA Payroll Team Lead, and have a hybrid schedule working in Katowice, Poland.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with external payroll vendors to deliver and control payroll data. Ensure outputs meet company standards. Work with external payroll vendors to ensure seamless delivery of payroll services to employees.
  • Perform and oversee payroll services, guaranteeing, accuracy, and adherence to compliance standards.
  • Prepare and verify necessary documentation, declarations, and reports for several authorities and institutions.
  • Address and resolve internal clients' inquiries regarding payroll matters.
  • Manage data integrity across multiple systems including Workday.
  • Participate in daily collaboration with HR and Finance Departments to align payroll processes.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes through automation and AI-driven tools.
  • Address and resolve issues related to outsourced payroll services.
  • Keep track of deadlines and maintain payroll processes following work regulations, labor law, internal audit process, procedures.
  • Maintain efficiency during peak periods such as month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.

The Essential- You Must Have

  • Master's degree in finance or related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience.
  • Demonstrated openness to adopting new technologies, including automation tools.
  • Positive attitude toward process improvement and digital transformation.
  • Knowledge of Excel.
  • Polish and English at professional level (speaking and writing).
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks in deadline-driven environment.
  • Thrives in fast-paced settings and demonstrates resilience under pressure.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Previous payroll experience, with shared services experience as a bonus.
  • Any of additional language (especially German, Dutch, French, Italian or other European language) will be a strong asset.
  • Knowledge of Power BI and Power Query.
