Mission
Responsible for the preparation and execution of India payroll ensuring world class, efficiency, innovation, transparency and consistency in delivery and execution.
To ensure a positive employee experience regardless of location supported through self-service and strong governance. Employees paid accurately and on time.
Strategic Alignment
Assist with the execution of the payroll strategy (including vendor arrangements) in alignment with the company strategy, supporting growth and positively impacting business outcomes.
Outcomes
Timely and accurate execution of payroll in India.
Key Responsibilities
Accountable for the preparation and execution of India payroll and other related operations such as benefits, annual tax reporting and internal/external payroll audits. Other duties include but not limited to accurate payroll calculation, processing payments on-time, statutory payments, meeting specific requirements and compliance of payroll and lodgements as per the country legislation.
Execute programs of work to ensure that they align to strategic objectives and available resources.
Drive continuous improvement.
Develop effective and collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders across the organization including senior members of the wider HR community, HRSS PMO, Finance, CRO (Audit/BCP), Treasury and Remuneration and Benefits.
Manage external partnerships, including KPI’s and SLA’s.
Ensure employees understand pay outcomes to reduce calls and enquiries.
Help coordinate Annual events, including EOFY, Performance review, and both internal & external audits.
Drive innovative thinking and approach to continuously improve.
Help resolve complex payroll escalations.
Ensure compliance with corporate policy, procedures and all legislative requirements.
Help build and improve overall customer experience in partnership with outsourced service providers.
Technical Skills:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a payroll organisation, with a proven track record of success.
Experience with managing end to end India payroll (inhouse payroll experience) is Mandatory and EMEA is advantageous.
SAP/Workday/ADP knowledge advantageous.
Experience in working with complex payroll, timekeeping information systems and working knowledge of enterprise systems.
Technical knowledge and skills relevant to human resources, payroll administration and statutory compliance.
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and payroll principles.
Knowledge of laws governing taxation/reporting of wages, Labour laws, provident fund, ESIC, Professional tax, Labour welfare fund, salary recoveries, laws governing garnishee, employee benefits and other salary withholding's as well as lodgements.
Demonstrated success in functionally managing an array of new and or complex processes/projects.
Experience in determining and establishing operating systems and frameworks in relation to payroll.
Experience in managing both internal and external Audits.
Expertise in building dashboards for payroll reporting
Attention to details both payroll and compliance.
Excellent relationship management skills.

Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
Organized, adaptable, a self-starter, highly motivated by challenge, and a team player.
