What You Will Do:
We are searching for a Patient Care Coordinator to support the Clinical Research effort within the NCCIH Division of Intramural Research. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Bethesda, MD. 

  • Coordinate the recruitment, scheduling, travel and admission of research study participants with clinical staff.

  • Triage questions to appropriate personnel in the team as necessary.

  • Respond to patient emails and phone calls; prioritize patient related issues into urgent, emergent and routine; triage the issues to the appropriate personnel in the team as necessary.

  • Communicate all patient protocols to patients, within the context of eligibility criteria for specific protocol; obtain appropriate consent forms.

  • Respond to communications with research subjects; direct questions to appropriate team member.


What You Will Need:

  • Associate’s degree

  • A minimum of ONE (1) year of experience in experience coordinating patient care or clinical services in a hospital or healthcare setting.

  • Strong communication skills with patients, families, and care teams.

  • Ability to accurately collect, validate, and enter patient or clinical data.

  • Experience with EHRs and clinical databases.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accurate documentation.

  • Ability to provide patient and family education.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust. Candidates must receive approved adjudication of their Public Trust prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an active Public Trust or existing suitability are preferred.


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Experience with clinical research data or protocol-based documentation.

  • Familiarity with patient recruitment, screening, and scheduling.

  • Experience coordinating patient logistics or travel arrangements.

  • Proficiency with reporting tools or multiple clinical databases.

  • Working knowledge of POTS and related patient care considerations.

  • Bilingual skills

The annual salary range for this position is $42,000.00-$70,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
