JOB SUMMARY:  The Part-Time Security Officer is responsible for coverage of all Denver Broncos home games, special events, and public events. Daily duties may require monitoring the camera system, patrol and surveillance of the stadium and surrounding property, and access control.                                                                                                                                                                                     

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide coverage for all Broncos home games, special events, and public events by:

  • Ensuring all employees, vendors, and guests have appropriate credentials
  • Posting ad securing access control points to critical areas on an event day to ensure that all NFL and stadium protocols are being met
  • Monitoring and responding to radio traffic

Provide coverage of command center by:

  • Answering all calls to the main security line and lost and found
  • Logging officer activity, monitoring surveillance cameras, monitoring radio traffic, monitoring access control system, and checking out keys

Provide inside roving patrol by:

  • Securing and re-securing doors as necessary
  • Screening all visitors and staff who enter the building with the utilization of magnetometers and Evolv Xray Machines
  • Identifying and reporting suspicious behavior, looking for and reporting any abnormalities or damage to stadium property, and completing incident reports as necessary

Provide outside roving patrol by:

  • Securing and re-securing parking lots and stadium gates as necessary
  • Identifying and reporting suspicious behavior, looking for and reporting any abnormalities or damage to stadium property, and completing incident reports as necessary

Provide coverage for static posts by:

  • Checking in visitors at the North tunnel, South East tunnel, Gate 2 and Gate 7
  • Assisting with loading dock activity when the dock supervisor is not present
  • Assisting with event post coverage, and any other posts as directed by your supervisor

Contributes to department team effort by:

  • Completing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned                                        

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Must be 21 years old
  • Ability to pass rigorous background check
  • Able to work weekends, ALL Denver Broncos Home games, mandatory public events, and holidays
  • Proficient at verbal and written communication
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Interacts with guests, employees, and partners in a professional manner
  • Ability to remain objective and be emotionally balanced when dealing with difficult situations
  • Ability to work with confidential information
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere
  • Ability to monitor surroundings and recognize irregularities

PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITY

  • Prior security experience
  • Valid Colorado driver license
  • Prior security training related to surveillance, access control, x-ray, metal detector, and incident report response and documentation
  • Understanding and use of security radio system
  • Understanding and use of surveillance camera, access control, and drone detection systems
  • Ability to operate of x-ray and metal detector equipment

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the hourly rate will be $22.50.
