Job Description
Under direct supervision, the Lockbox Specialist accelerates the receipt and processing of client remittance data, preparation and processing of checks for clearing in line with standard bank operating procedures and prepares information for clients and service partners according to specified procedures and instructions.
THE LOCKBOX SPECIALIST WILL:
Open mail and extract paper invoices/checks (Applicants will be tested to determine extraction skills).
Properly sort non-payment documents for processing.
Accurately batch work and communicate issues to Workflow Coordinator or Supervisor.
Cross training in other functional areas is required to maintain coverage in critical department.

Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 1 year of experience with working knowledge of the business or general office skills
High School Diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
Works well with others in a fully developed team environment.
Open minded and adaptable to new ideas in a changing environment
Exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Proficient in 10-Key, able to perform with a high degree of speed and accuracy.
Proven ability to handle monetary/ processing functions independently.
Proven ability to handle high transaction volumes accurately and meet production goals.
Proven effective verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
Good judgment knowing when to escalate issues.
Ability to identify, assess and escalate concerns appropriately.
Comfortable navigating multiple computer systems and applications
Basic knowledge of banking policies, procedures, government regulations
Ability to perform simple scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance functions.
Excellent customer service skills

PC - Copiers - Carts - Tubs - Mail Slicer - Automated check extraction equipment
TRAINING REQUIRED
Lockbox training via My Learning Center. RemitTrac. On the job training as necessary.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base hourly rate in the range of $18.00 - $23.08 per hour. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.Please click here for a list of benefits for which this position is eligible.
