About the team and position
We’re looking for a Paralegal in our Legal Department to join a growing organization. The Real Estate Paralegal will report to Carvana’s Real Estate Associate General Counsel and work closely within Carvana’s Real Estate Legal, Portfolio Management and Licensing teams. Ideally, a candidate for the position should bring 10 or more years of relevant experience in a corporate, legal or team-centric environment, with some combination of transactional real estate, portfolio management and lease administration, and licensing experience. While there is meaningful overlap across these domains, this role is designed to serve as a connective, high-impact resource for routine and moderately complex work that does not require continuous attorney involvement. The Paralegal will drive execution on core, recurring legal tasks, ensuring attorney resources remain focused on attorney-level matters as volume ramps. This position is critical to maintaining a responsive, efficient workflow and will also provide day-to-day support for lease administration and landlord–tenant matters. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented legal professional who can work independently and is comfortable operating at scale with high responsiveness. This candidate will partner closely with attorneys and other team members for oversight, collaboration or signoff as needed, and must bring judgment and analytical rigor to “run the business” legal operations.

This is a fully on-site position, Monday through Friday, at our corporate HQ in Tempe, Arizona.

  • Autonomously handle routine and recurring  portfolio management or lease administration matters such as estoppels, SNDAs, access requests, etc.
  • Support contract drafting, review and negotiation efforts in real estate transactions (purchases, leases, dispositions, etc.)
  • Assist in title/survey review, diligence checklists, and closing binders
  • Work closely with manager and team to simplify and offload legal workflow that may be more efficiently or effectively shouldered by this role, rather than elsewhere within the team
