The Global Immigration Paralegal will manage the international immigration processes for all talent and event personnel to participate in events in various countries around the world. The Global Immigration Paralegal is additionally responsible for maintaining and updating both hard copy and electronic international immigration files for all talent and event personnel as per established guidelines.
Essential Functions:
Reviews upcoming event schedules to determine immigration/visa/work permit needs for talent, staff and contractors. Performs research as necessary to determine country-specific visa requirements.
Ensures all paperwork, including applications for immigration, visas and work authorizations, for WWE talent and Live Event Support Staff are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Oversees and manages passport maintenance and compliance issues including the process of assisting WWE Talent with US and foreign passport renewals.
Works with Counsel, Immigration to ensure compliance with all applicable rules and regulations related to WWE Talent and Live Event Support Staff immigration and international travel.
Tracks expiration dates and the management of necessary extensions/amendments to ensure valid, continuous passport, international visa and work authorization documentation.
Recognize and escalate immediate compliance concerns to direct report and key department leaders and support in developing and overseeing the resolution
Collects all relevant information needed for immigration/visa/work permit process.
Prepares all relevant international immigration documents and submits to the appropriate agency, and tracks progress through issuance of the relevant visa/work permit.
Provides internal updates on the status of visa processing. Keeps all relevant stakeholders informed of any delays in the visa process.
Reports any concerns regarding the visa process to direct report immediately.
Ensures all applicable databases are up-to-date and complete and accurate for all contracted Talent.
Updates and maintains all hard copy immigration files per established guidelines.
Performs other tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
3 -5 years of experience working as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or similar background
Customer-service driven.
Significant time flexibility.
Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
Ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external working relationships.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with individuals in all levels of the organization.
Ability to maintain discretion and confidential information.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task, and handle various competing activities and interests simultaneously.
Ability to use critical thinking in order to anticipate issues and problem solve.
Ability to work well under pressure in a high stress environment, with tight deadlines.
Knowledge of and experience with large group international travel is a plus.
Ability to speak, write and read a second language is a plus.
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel, basic level skills with Microsoft Word and Outlook, and the ability to learn other basic computer programs.
