Summary: The painter is responsible for preparing the surface to be painted, mixing resins, paints, reducers, and hardeners as needed and conducting the physical process of painting the item. Responsible for applying and removing decals and wraps.

Education/Experience:
Must have extensive knowledge of the body shop paint process, as well as knowledge of painting chassis and related parts. Requires knowledge of sanding, buffing, and blending paints. Must own personal tools. Requires basic mechanical and fabrication skills.
Certificates and Licenses:
√ Valid Driver’s License
√ Successful completion of the Medical Fit evaluation for use of respirator.
Computer Skills:
Basic computer skills required.
Attendance Expectations:
The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to travel occasionally. Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed.
Physical Demands:
Requires vision (near, distance, depth), sense of touch, and ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – respirator and hearing and eye protection. Constantly stands, walks, manually manipulates, reaches outward, lifts/carries up to 20 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 25 pounds. Frequently reaches above shoulder, climbs, crawls, squats or kneels, bends, lifts/carries up to 50 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 40 pounds. Occasionally sits, lifts/carries over 100 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 100 pounds.
Environment Demands:
Primarily works indoors. May be exposed to fumes.
