Hendrick Technical Solutions is hiring a CNC Tube Bending Tech for our second shift (3:30pm - 12:30am Monday - Friday).

JOB SUMMARY:

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled CNC Tube Bending Technician to join our manufacturing team.
  • This role is responsible for the precise setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC tube bending equipment to produce high-quality components that meet stringent specifications.
  • The ideal candidate has experience with tight-tolerance tube forming in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment. 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up and operate CNC tube bending machines according to production drawings and specifications.
  • Interpret technical blueprints, CAD files, and production orders.
  • Use measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, angle finders, etc.) to inspect finished products for accuracy.
  • Program or modify machine controls to ensure optimal bend quality and repeatability.
  • Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting minor issues.
  • Work closely with engineering and quality teams to ensure compliance with all design and quality requirements.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area following HMS standards and safety protocols.
  • Document production and inspection data as required.

DESIRED EDUCATION:

  • GED or High School diploma

DESIRED WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 plus years

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience operating CNC tube bending experience (BLM preferred) 
  • Strong understanding of tube bending principles, materials and bend radius limitations 
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings 
  • Familiarity with CNC machine programming and controls 
  • Experience with precision manufacturing in aerospace or motorsports industries is a plus 
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality 
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.  

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Requires basic computer skills.
  • Microsoft Teams and Excel experience preferred. 
  • CNC programming skills 

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: 

  • Ability to work as a team player and communicate effectively with other departments and organizational team members. 

 

ATTENDANCE EXPECTATIONS: 

  • Scheduled shift is 3:30pm - 12:30am Monday-Friday.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.

VERBAL AND WRITING ABILITY: 

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos 
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.  

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

  • Requires vision (near, distance, color, peripheral, depth), sense of touch, and ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – safety glasses. 
  • Constantly manually manipulates, lifts/carries 10 pounds or less, and pushes/pulls 12 pounds or less.
  • Frequently stands, walks, reaches outward, bends, lifts/carries up to 100 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasionally sits, reaches above shoulder, squats or kneels, lifts/carries over 100 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 100 pounds. 

 

 

ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: 

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment.  

This role subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements and as such, U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident or U.S. Person Status Required.
