Job Summary: This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the Certain Personnel/Modified Direct Hiring Authority. Major Duties:
Qualifications: Your resume must show that you have the ability to perform the work of a Packer as demonstrated experience applying knowledge of various protective devices and cushioning materials, preserving and packing procedures and techniques, and of regulatory and safety requirements that apply to preserving, packing, labeling, storing, and shipping standard and nonstandard materials, devices, etc. to perform the following: 1) Standardized, specialized, and/or custom preservation and packing work. 2) Basic computer skills to access regulations, prepare, and process shipping documentation and labels using stand-alone or database systems. 3) Using prescribed containers, protective devices, cushioning, methods and techniques are required in conjunction with size, type weight and security classification, fragility and/or hazardous materials requirements. 4) Using tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, pliers, power saws, stapling, strapping materials and banding machines, tape dispensers, vacuum and heat sealing machines.
