Job Description

Under direction of the supervisor, this person would perform various miscellaneous job tasks within the department. In cooperation with the line crew, this position supports departmental production operations. This includes responsibility and authority to achieve cost, quality, safety, morale and service objectives.

Shift: 1st, Monday- Friday, 6:00AM- 2:30PM

Starting Wage: $21.54

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Other duties including those not specifically related to the utility operator may be assigned.

  • Relieve operators on classified jobs in processing, filling and packing.

  • This person has the responsibility to operate under the Kraft Heinz Safety Values.

  • Adhere to all safety and environmental policies, procedures and compliance programs.

  • Work toward achieving an injury free environment.

  • Perform period cleaning duties as dictated by the period cleaning schedule and the correct and effective

  • Cleaning of equipment according to all Kraft sanitation guidelines.

  • Use a forklift and hand jack in a safe and efficient manner. Forklift certification required.

  • Provide assistance on changeovers of equipment.

  • Perform various housekeeping duties including sweeping, emptying trashcans, paper wagons and trash wagons.

  • Keep work area in a clean and orderly fashion. Adhere to all Company and Garland Plant GMPs along with rules and

  • regulations.

  • Responsible for compliance with the safety policy and accident prevention and compliance programs.

  • Responsible for reviewing work areas for potential losses and loss control opportunities and for reporting hazards,

  • injuries/illnesses, and other losses to supervisors.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
