Main responsibilities / essential functions:
• Facilitate order management
• Use the Material Replenishment Planning (MRP) system to ensure order fulfillment
• Create order flows with suppliers and proactively manage any identified risk of not ensuring an order
• Manage supplier relationships functionally / delivery, including approval and confirmation process
• Manage the relationship with our internal customers at the central (OTR) and at the regional level (Project manager)
• Support new product launches, including the process of gradually replacing old products with new manufactured models.
• Solve the problems of stock-outs / surplus, or the treatment of obsolete materials
• Work in close collaboration with the personnel in charge of Quality
• Check the configuration of the control.
• Manage communication with the regions in the event of non-compliance with the order.
• Manage assigned special projects such as inventory reduction, logistics flow optimization,
• Process the MyOrder follow-up every week by entering the reasons for the delay.
• Ensure the temporary replacement of the absent pair.
• Ensure the management and follow-up of delivery disputes with suppliers / warehouse / carriers for all flows from suppliers and from local warehouses.
• Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
Qualifications
• Knowing how to distinguish the urgent from the important
• Knowledge of material replenishment systems (MRP)
• Fluent English is compulsory, another foreign language is a plus.
• Rigor in processes and work organization
• Know how to adapt your speech by email or orally to the various interlocutors (supplier, warehouse, management)
• Respond efficiently and quickly to requests from our internal customers. Knowing how to manage stressful situations in the event of repeat requests and escalations from management by communicating factually.
• Knowing how to work with different types of population (warehouse agent, French and foreign supplier, management)
• Higher education diploma or local equivalent with successful experience in logistics
• Know how to use the Office Pack and in particular the Excel software by using complex functions (Pivot Table, Vlookup) on a daily basis and be creative in using this software to simplify daily work.
Desired Characteristics:
• BAC + 5 in logistics, product or supply chain management
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in operational logistics, warehousing and distribution or supply chain management
• Lean expertise, in particular the Lean Six Sigma methodology (accompanied by success in setting up projects)
• Expertise in using Excel.
• Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan and execute programs
