The Operations Manager is a forward‑thinking leader responsible for the seamless integration of broadcast and digital operations. This role balances maintaining high‑performance operational standards while driving innovative change across platforms. The Operations Manager oversees LIVE production opportunities and implements strategies to improve efficiency, quality, and coordination across the station.

This position ensures effective collaboration between Digital and Linear teams, supporting a Digital‑First culture across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic initiatives, special projects, and day‑to‑day operational problem solving.
  • Foster community connections that help identify and tell stories that matter.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable FCC regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with News, Production, Sales, and Engineering to ensure cohesive, efficient workflows, including OBS Digital Center operations.
  • Manage logistics and execution for LIVE events across broadcast and streaming platforms.
  • Oversee lifestyle show development and ongoing production support.
  • Help develop, train, and mentor operational staff.
  • Support traffic operations, logs, and OBS workflows for commercial and promotional content.
  • Continuously improve processes while upholding quality and performance standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of broadcast operations experience.
  • Strong understanding of television station workflows and FCC regulations.
  • Proven leadership experience in fast‑paced, live broadcast environments.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
