Berklee College of Music - Boston Part time

In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

  • Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.

  • Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).

  • Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.

  • A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.

  • Federal Work Study student may apply.

  • In good disciplinary standing.

  • Must be located in the U.S.

The Office of the President is a dynamic, fact-paced working environment that operates at the forefront of Berklee's mission and vision. This position serves as support staff to the Office of the President under the supervision of the Senior Project Manager. This person is considered to be a member of the Office of the President team and is thus expected to demonstrate professional behavior at all times and handle sensitive matters with confidentiality.

​Duties: 

  • Serve as front-line receptionist for the Office of the President.

  • Assist in answering sensitive phone calls from board members, parents, and other callers, and direct them to the correct department or staff member. 

    • Maintain a high level of confidentiality during these calls and in all matters related to the Office of the President. 

  • Support the Office of the President with ongoing daily tasks and assignments, and assist the office with special projects as assigned.

  • Restocking and upkeep: track inventory and order supplies for the office as necessary

  • Data Entry

  • Maintain organized files (both electronic and hard copy) for the Office of the President, updating and streamlining where appropriate on an ongoing basis.

  • Organize, maintain, and periodically update the Office of the President display cases. 

  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail/package shipment

  • Conference room hospitality management, including stocking and clearing of beverage items for meetings, ensuring that catering service promptly delivers requested hospitality for luncheons and special events, and removal and cleanup. 

  • Order lunches for student events

  • Assist with events hosted by the Office of the President 

Hourly Rate: $16.48
