Purpose of the role
To support design, evaluation and optimization of future Ocean networks and design concepts by leveraging data analytics, economic modelling. Via financial analysis, support the business translation of network concepts into actionable asset infrastructure investment recommendations for vessels and terminals that will support long run competitiveness through maximizing APMM long run ROIC.
Main Responsibilities
•Support design of end-to-end Ocean networks (services, port calls, capacity covering transport demand and deployment) across a variation of time horizons.
•Support analysis and forecast of volume flows, trade patterns, capacity demands,
•Support translation of strategic scenarios (market, regulatory, decarbonization, customer demands) into network drivers.
•Apply economic optimization and simulation models to evaluate network and asset trade-offs.
•Assess terminal, port, hinterland and fleet requirements arising from future network designs.
-Evaluate large scale capital investments, using NPV, IRR, ROIC, scenario and sensitivity analysis.
-Support investment cases and portfolio prioritization with data driven recommendations.
-Act as an internal SME to other functions on network strategy and investment decisions.
-Synthesize complex analysis into clear insights for decision support.
