Key Responsibilities:

About HEALTH Project: 

Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI) will implement the project Health. The project aims to improve the quality of lifesaving maternal and newborn health (MNH) care at supported facilities and communities, as evidenced by better outcomes for postpartum haemorrhage (PPH), pre-eclampsia/eclampsia (PE/E), and newborn asphyxia, ultimately contributing to reduced institutional maternal and newborn mortality. Project interventions will be delivered at both facility level and community level: WVI will focus on the community level by enhancing kader capacity to improve access to care by delivering routine and emergency maternal and newborn information and services at the community level. This position is responsible for overall project implementation, donor compliance, and high-level coordination.

Strategy Development & Planning 

  • Design and plan the implementation of Health Project  

  • Develop strategy to implement project in coordination with internal and external team  

  • Lead the development of initiatives in order to achieve KPI or target  

  • Coordinate revision of plans and budgets for programs at district level in response to monitoring, reflection and learning with the community and the program team.  

 

Resource Acquisition & Management 

  • Ensure to always be present as a WVI representative for this project 

  • Liaison with donors

  • Monitor program expenditures to ensure that they are within the project budget at the national level and under Wahana Visi Indonesia financial policies and donor’s requirements  

 

Capacity Building/ Technical Works 

  • Ensure capacity building of all program staff and pertinent partners  

  • Internalize and socialize WV core documents, including the safeguarding policy.  

  • Promote ongoing reflection and learning among staff members.  

  • Develop a dynamic organizational culture for the project that conveys the principles of a “Learning Organization” and applies principles of our Core Documents, policies, manuals, and procedures.  

  • Share lessons learned of program implementation with communities, development partners and other WV Partnership stakeholders at district Level. 

 

Accountability & Quality Assurance 

  • Ensure project has the technical support required to implement high quality interventions 

  • Assess and track quality of implementation and alignment to national or international standards, government policies, donor guidelines and plans.  

  • Conduct activities to assess quality in the field; solicit community and stakeholder feedback 

  • Support recruitment and induction of relevant staff required to achieve or surpass performance targets 

  • Ensure that the processes of planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation are performed on time and with high quality.  

  • Ensure monitoring system and tools are developed and used by staff to track the progress of program implementation and to capture learning and are used for decision making and project/program quality improvements. 

  • Support and advise research projects to explore programme quality and efficacy, and to test new approaches and innovations 

Network  & Coordination 

  • Maintain strong and regular external engagement with Project stakeholders and Donors. 

  • Participate and representing the organization in regional, national and local meetings internally and externally as appropriate. 

  • Ensure multi-sectoral integration, alignment to safeguarding of program activities and faith & development integration.  

Management & Leadership  

  • Develop and manage annual business plan and budget for Project  

  • Submits periodical/ monthly accomplishment report  

  • Build and maintain positive spirit of working in team with other staff in respective unit and department   

  • Provide line management for Project’s team, including performance management, coaching and capacity building.  

  • Provide Christian leadership and support to enrich the organization's life, faith, Christian commitments and ministry to the disadvantaged children and communities we seek to serve.  

  • Be a role model and inspiration in managing work, communication and relationship with internal staff and external parties. 

  • Manage all risks related to project according to organization policies, guidelines, and standard. This includes risks in fraud, safeguarding, and other related risks. 

Requirement

  • Masters’ degree or Bacheloor  in Public Health, Social Development or other related field or equivalent experience 

  • A minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience in Health programmes across various contexts including in emergency responses. 

  • Ability to effectively transfer information to various audiences through trainings, workshops, meetings, etc. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and formal communication 

  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office 

  • Cross-cultural sensitivity and ability to work with a wide range of people from different backgrounds 

  • High integrity, reliability and dependability 

  • Experience in developing and nurturing partnerships with stakeholders at various levels 

  • Experience in leading, designing, planning, implementing, M&E and reporting on integrated development, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene projects 

  • Demonstrated track record in supporting proposal development and funding acquisitions 

  • Bahasa Indonesia (native), English (min. 550 TOEFL) 

  • Travel 25% (domestically and internationally) 

  • Training or certification in integrated water resources management, behaviour change, market-based solutions, and other WASH areas (documented experience alternately accepted). 

  • Solid computer skills in Microsoft Office. 

  • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills. 

  • Experience in WASH in emergencies 

  • Experience in presenting at national and international meetings
