The opportunity
As a National Product Specialist, you’ll support the end‑to‑end execution of the Retail product lifecycle across governance, disclosure, portfolio insights and system/process delivery. Working closely with Portfolio and National Portfolio Managers, as well as Disclosure and Product Governance teams, you’ll help ensure Retail products are well governed, customer‑aligned, and ready for execution. This is a hands‑on, delivery‑focused role suited to someone who enjoys coordinating detail, partnering across teams and getting outcomes delivered.

Your new role
Deliver delegated BAU product governance activities, including complaints monitoring, product value metrics, product feedback coordination and evidence management
Support execution of Retail Product governance rhythms and artefacts, including review packs, evidence collation and status reporting
Coordinate and progress regulatory and PDS updates in close partnership with Disclosure teams, and support reviews of customer‑facing documentation
Undertake product and wording reviews, along with competitor and market analysis, to support decision‑making and uplift opportunities
Deliver system‑focused product execution work, including analysis, testing support, controls support and stakeholder coordination, and support underwriting audits
Support working groups and committees by preparing materials, tracking actions and ensuring follow‑through, while building strong day‑to‑day partnerships across Product, Portfolio, Underwriting, Pricing, Disclosure and Product Governance
About you
Experience in insurance across underwriting, product, portfolio, governance, disclosure, or adjacent roles
Exposure to short‑tail retail lines (e.g. Motor, Property) or similar portfolios is desirable but not essential
Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability, with comfort working through ambiguity
Proven ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to deliver practical outcomes
Highly organised with strong prioritisation skills, able to manage competing deadlines without compromising quality
Clear and confident communicator, able to translate complex detail into concise, audience‑appropriate updates
