About the job
Manufacturing Science, Analytics and Technology (MSAT) continuously explores improvements at the interface between CMC development and commercial production. MSAT’s primary functions are to lead technology transfer, develop new products and methods & support licensure, provide commercial manufacturing technical support and development improved manufacturing processes and methods.
The analytical function in the MSAT organization is the owner of the analytical methods within the Sanofi biologics manufacturing network. Within the Vitry-sur-Seine local Manufacturing Sciences Analytical and Technology (MSAT) organization and our new state-of-the-art laboratory, we are looking for an experienced, dynamic and passionate Analytical Scientist to work in the MSAT lab.
Main responsibilities:
- Design, perform, and/or supervise analytical testing to support small-scale studies, troubleshooting of analytical methods, and providing investigational support for commercial and LCM product (including the generation of scientific/technical study protocols and reports)
- Leads complex analytical investigations at the site by using solid process understanding and applying scientific and engineering principles and practices to facilitate the generation of practical solutions
- Contribute to laboratory management (including orders, SOP redaction, equipment and waste management)
- Participate in the installation and qualification of analytical equipment and troubleshooting to ensure optimum analytical method performance
- Continuously improve existing methods by introducing new technology, increasing method robustness, and reducing release cycle time to make analytical testing more cost effective while maintaining quality and HSE requirements
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in other teams and departments, especially MSAT local & global network, Manufacturing, Quality Control and CMC
About you
- Strong experience in analytical methods for biological product with expertise in biochemistry and biological methods such as icIEF, cGE, HPLC/UPLC (affinity / size exclusion / hydrophilic), spectrometric assays, ELISA and automation
- You have at least 3 years of laboratory experience in method development, validation, and investigation testing/support in an analytical function
- A precise, detail-oriented mindset with excellent analytical skills for identifying and addressing challenges
- Team player, able to make a significant contribution to cross-functional project teams through technical expertise and scientific creativity
- You are flexible and willing to support small scale studies, quality investigations and MSAT driven projects both in the lab and as part of a cross-function teams
- Knowledge on protein characterization, process transfer and validation, and cGMP in bio-manufacture industry is appreciated
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent in French and English
