We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and proactive Mission System Engineer to join our high-performing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the integration and management of tactical datalinks, such as Link 16 and Variable Message Format (VMF), as well as a strong background in network management within the aerospace sector. Experience with C2 ISR systems will be highly valued. Key Responsibilities:
As an integral part of our team, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Tactical Datalink Integration: Integration, configuration, testing, and management of tactical datalinks such as Link 16, VMF, and others, ensuring seamless communication, interoperability, and compliance with relevant standards. This includes troubleshooting and resolving complex issues related to datalink integration into a Tactical Mission System.
- Network Management: Design, configuration, optimization, and security management of network infrastructures to ensure high availability and performance.
- System Integration: Seamless integration of tactical datalinks and networks within aerospace platforms, ensuring compatibility and efficiency.
- Technical Oversight: Supervision of technical aspects of projects, ensuring adherence to aerospace industry standards and project milestones.
- Development & Integration Activities: Lead and manage development and integration activities from requirements capture to verification and validation to achieve a qualified and certified system. This includes applying engineering fields such as safety, quality assurance, and configuration control to Mission Systems.
- Procurement Activities: Participate in procurement activities, from supplier selection to control and monitoring activities, ensuring that all acquired systems and components meet the required standards and specifications.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including avionics, software, and systems engineering, to ensure effective communication and proactive problem-solving.
Required Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical profile with the following qualifications:
- Educational Background: Degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field. A Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
- Tactical Datalink Experience: Extensive experience in the integration, configuration, testing, and management of tactical datalinks such as Link 16 and VMF. Experience with specific equipment and protocols used in tactical datalinks is a plus.
- Network Management: Experience in managing and optimizing network infrastructures, including configuration, security, and performance tuning of protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, etc.
- Aerospace Experience: Proven experience in the aerospace sector, with a deep understanding of aerospace systems and networks. Experience in defense or military projects is highly valued.
- C2 ISR Knowledge: Knowledge and experience with Command and Control (C2) and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems is highly desirable.
- Development & Integration Expertise: Excellent knowledge of development and integration activities, from requirements capture to verification and validation activities to achieve a qualified and certified system. This includes experience in engineering fields such as safety, quality assurance, and configuration control applied to Mission Systems.
- Procurement Knowledge: Good knowledge of procurement activities, from supplier selection to control and monitoring activities, ensuring compliance with project requirements and standards.
- Cybersecurity Knowledge: Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and network security practices is highly desirable.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in network protocols, aerospace-specific technologies, and tactical datalink systems.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
- Soft Skills: Proactiveness, excellent communication skills, assertiveness, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Willingness to travel as needed to support project requirements.
- Language Proficiency: Strong verbal and written skills in both Spanish and English.
