Company:

Millennium Space Systems

Millennium Space Systems, a part of Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), is a fast, agile small satellite company focused on national security space. Our missions have direct impact to global security, like missile warning and Earth observation.

Our team is curious, bold and innovative. We take risks, innovate and explore new techniques and technologies. We influence change because we challenge the status quo. And when we watch our satellites launch, we know each one of us made it happen.

The Business Development Operations & Analytics Intern will support automation, improved efficiency and integration of Business Development (BD) tools, reporting systems, and AI-enabled workflows. The intern will help standardize and automate processes across pipeline tracking, Bid & Proposal (B&P) reporting, competitive intelligence, and proposal analysis using our internal AI prompt tool, Excel, Power BI, and possibly other tools such as Jira and Tableau. This role will improve reporting accuracy, increase operational efficiency, and reduce manual workload through structured automation and better data integration. By enhancing tool cohesion and enabling consistent analytics and presentation standards, the intern will directly support data-driven decision-making and improved BD performance.

Over the course of our 10-12 week internship experience you will have the opportunity to:

  • AI Workflow Development: Develop and test MSSGPT prompt stacks to automate proposal shredding, competitive intelligence gathering, and recurring BD reporting outputs.

  • Pipeline & B&P Reporting Optimization: Standardize and enhance BD pipeline tracking and B&P reporting tools in Excel and/or Power BI to improve forecast visibility and reporting accuracy.

  • Process & Tool Integration: Support workflow standardization within Jira and related systems to improve coordination and tracking across BD functional interfaces.

  • Competitive & Market Intelligence Reporting: Design structured, recurring competitive and market analysis reports to provide consistent weekly insight to BD leadership.

  • Gate Presentation Standardization: Refine, standardize and automate opportunity gate review processes and optimized presentation templates to improve clarity, consistency, and executive decision-making efficiency.
