The Logistics Assistant (LA) carries out duties associated with the day to day administrative function of Bison Logistics Team. Key duties include tracking shipments to identify loads at risk of being late, communicating to internal and external stakeholders, updating arrivals and departures in the operating system, proactive order/equipment tracing, sending carrier contracts, recording of information in the logistics system, and troubleshooting, as required.

The primary purpose of this job is to ensure that all service deliverables are on track while keeping the secondary purpose in mind to also ensure administrative functions of Bison Logistics are completed in an accurate, timely, and complete manner.

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Track shipments in real-time using tools such as GPS.
  • Contact drivers and dispatch by phone to confirm status updates.
  • Monitor and update events such as arrivals and departures in various operating systems.
  • Identify delays or route deviations and escalate as needed.
  • Process shipment updates received from various sources.
  • Provide proactive shipment status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Respond to inquiries for information from various sources.
  • Record information in various operating systems.
  • Troubleshoot as required.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.

Our Ideal Candidate will possess:

  • Recent graduate in International Business, Commerce, or a related field is an asset.
  • Interest in the transportation or logistics industry.
  • Upper intermediate level of English with the ability to communicate both verbally in writing.
  • Ability to pick up new concepts quickly and adapt to changing needs.
  • Basic organizational skills and the ability to stay on top of tasks.
  • Comfort collaborating with others and building positive working relationships.
  • Enthusiasm for working in a deadline-oriented environment with shifting priorities.
  • A proactive attitude and openness to feedback and growth.

Shifts Available:

  • Modified shift: 4 days on / 4 days off, 07:00 – 19:00 (premium‑eligible).
