Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time.  Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers.  Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation.  Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines:  Reliability System Safety and Supportability.

What You Will Do:

The Materiel Fielding Plan (MFP) is an acquisition program that details the steps, actions, requirements, and responsibilities of the fielding and successful deployment of a fully manned, trained, and supported materiel system that meets all user objectives. As a Materiel Fielding Plan Developer, you will be responsible for creating and managing comprehensive materiel fielding plans that ensure efficient deployment and utilization of materials across various projects. You will collaborate closely with project managers, supply chain teams, deployment leads, customers, and other stakeholders to create useful documentation comprising all aspects of a successful fielding phase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement detailed materiel fielding plans tailored to project requirements
  • Analyze project specifications to identify document needs and timelines
  • Coordinate with SMEs and customers to develop a plan that will be used for timely delivery of materials
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal and customer teams to align fielding strategies with project goals
  • Prepare reports and presentations for cost and schedule updates
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to enhance materiel fielding processes

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
  • Three (3) years of experience in material management, logistics, or a similar role
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience in life cycle engineering principles and PATRIOT weapon system
  • Experience with developing and revising technical documentation through peer review
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with combined internal and customer teams.
  • Experience reporting Earned Value to programs and maintaining budget owned by the MFP development team

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
