Summary

The Material Master Data Senior Analyst is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of material master data within the ERP system. The Analyst ensures that all material records are up to date, compliant with company standards, and support the business’s supply chain strategy. This position plays a key role in supporting supply chain operations, materials management, and business process efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage master data within SAP ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards to support a manufacturing and spares fulfillment organization

  • Maintain material master records, including part numbers, classifications, lead times and make vs buy decisions to align with business strategy and with a customer satisfaction focused mindset

  • Manage product hierarchy data such as product family codes, part numbers, and engineering status codes

  • Support and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) migration and updates within SAP to ensure proper configuration and alignment with production and procurement needs

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and escalate data migration errors for Bill of Materials (BOM) coming from PLM (Product Lifecycle Management tool) to SAP

  • Support the CIB (Change Implementation Board) by performing manufacturing focused functional assessments of engineering changes and support implementation of revision changes across production orders and inventory

  • Lead complex projects end-to-end, independently driving scope definition, execution and innovative outcomes with minimal oversight

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure data integrity and consistency across all systems

  • Develop, document, and implement standardized master data processes, digital tools, and best practices that allow for supply chain growth and innovation

  • Primarily support Houston JFK location with some support provided to global sites as needed

  • Promote personal accountability for Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) by adhering to the principles and guidelines outlined in HMH's HSSE governing policy

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in supply chain, business, engineering, or information systems (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 9 years of relevant experience)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional level experience
  • Must have experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)

  • Familiarity with PLM (e.g., Windchill) or other data management systems is preferred

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, part structures, and supply chain operations

  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and management

  • Work independently with the ability to develop and implement solutions to complex problems

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and lead across functions
