Department Description
Cambium Networks designs and market a range of advanced OFDM and MIMO based point to point and point to multi point Ethernet radios/RF Solutions in both licensed and unlicensed bands. Customers include tier 2 and 3 telephony operators, wireless internet service providers, and enterprises such as utilities, federal, state, and local governments. Cambium’s supply chain consists of OEM, ODM, and EMS solution,s while fulfillment takes place through regional distribution centers via channel partners to the end customer.
The primary objective of the Supply Operations team is to ensure that the Cambium Networks supply chain is focused on supporting the needs of business; through the timely delivery of high-quality and cost-effective products from a competitive supply base while adhering to global trade and compliance requirements. Positioning inventory throughout the supply chain while ensuring excess and obsolescence is minimized is a core objective.
Scope of Responsibilities & Position Expectations
The Material Manager is responsible for working with ODM/EMS for overseeing the planning, procurement, and distribution of materials requirement for Cambium projects. This role ensures that materials are available when needed, inventory levels are managed efficiently, and supply Chain processes support cost-effective and timely production.
•Coordinate with ODM/EMS project team, factory PMC team, and negotiation activities to secure raw materials for clear-to-build and ramp up.
•Plan, organize, and oversee all material management activities.
•Develop a material system for management of an EMS
•Monitor inventory levels, forecast material needs, and adjust demand/priority as necessary.
•Resolve material shortages, delays, or quality concerns.
•Understand ODM/EMS status on material CTB, build schedule, WIP and finished goods.
•Minimize excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.
•Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
•Work closely with Internal Cambium NPI, Engineering, Quality and Purchasing teams.
•Ability to work in a global environment with Suppliers and internal customers worldwide.
•Communicate material availability and risk to leadership.
•Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
•Facilitate Supplier performance improvements.
•Strong Supply Chain Management knowledge, factory PMC experience preferred.
Knowledge/ Skill Requirement
•5+ years of experience in materials management, inventory control, or supply chain operations. Previous ERP/MRP material planning experience needed.
•Experience in factory PMC is a plus.
•Good communications skills with supplier teams
•Good communication in English verbal and writing.
•Microsoft office software, especially Excel; Pivot, V-Lookup, filtering & sorting
•Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
•Needs to be able to represent Cambium in a professional manner in the region
•Can do/decisive attitude.
