We are looking for a Master Electronics Technician to support our Rockford production and development test labs on 2nd shift. This position if focused on repair, adjustment, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex equipment, machinery, or instrumentation to ensure reliable functionality and compliance with process and safety specifications. This position works with internal customers, trades, and shared services in support of production and development equipment and projects.
Work Shift : Monday - Friday ( 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm ) with occasional weekend cover as needed.
What You Will Do
Advanced experience in electronic equipment troubleshooting & repair
Measures, analyzes, and calibrates instrumentation/equipment for setup and check-out
Ability to read, interpret, and create equipment and wiring schematics
Understands the logic of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems for test or maintenance of parts or systems
Fine electronics soldering experience
Performs complex equipment installation and machine set-up.
Gathers and reviews data concerning equipment specifications, and company or customer requirements as required.
Understands customer specifications to confirm operations according to necessary regulations to ensure production quality
Works under minimal supervision to repair, adjust, and maintain complex production equipment, machinery, or instruments to ensure reliable functionality and compliance with process and safety specifications.
Develops and troubleshoots electrical systems from incomplete information and cooperation with engineering and operators
Ensures proper functioning of equipment through ongoing inspection and maintenance.
Conducts equipment inventories and arranges disposal of obsolete equipment.
Advanced electronic software control use and modification
Experience maintaining and repairing motors and drives
Advanced printed circuit board troubleshooting and repair experience
Advanced support and complex problem solving for engineering teams
Supports technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation effectiveness of total systems
Provides training to operators and fellow technicians to ensure equipment is being used properly
Creates procedures and work instructions for operation of equipment, machinery and instruments and identifies updates as needed.
Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
Subject matter experts on legacy and complex equipment support
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 10 years of hands on relevant experience. Certification may be required for technical support roles.
Experience in using electronic measuring equipment (i.e DMM, Oscilloscope).
Experience with Data acquisition equipment.
Experience or certification in soldering.
Strong understanding of Electronic drawings and schematics.
Qualifications We Prefer
Strong understanding and familiarity with the National Electric Code (NEC) and NFPA 70E
Aerospace industry experience.
PLC programming experience

The salary range for this role is 66,800 USD - 127,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
