Sydney, Australia Full time

Job Description :

Who are we?

From humble beginnings to extraordinary futures, Diageo is centred on crafting incredible stories of ambitious possibilities. From our iconic global brands such as Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff, Tanqueray and Don Julio, to our local homegrown heroes Bundaberg Rum, Ello and Mr Black, we are a team of pioneers, looking to lead the future of our industry and brands from today. At Diageo, you will be a chosen custodian of our brand portfolio, entrusted with building brands for consumers to celebrate with in the moments that matter. Alongside you will be a group of ambitious, passionate and innovative people, who will help you to achieve extraordinary heights. Together, you will help us create a future worth celebrating.

What will your role be?

As a Market Category Manager for Real Estate & Facilities within Diageo’s APAC Procurement team, you will play an important role in helping us shape the workplaces and environments that support our people to do their best work. Working within our Global Procurement function, one of the key drivers of Diageo’s growth, you’ll support the development and delivery of the FM/RE category strategy across a varied portfolio, including offices, manufacturing sites and land assets. You’ll help manage diverse operational and commercial needs, ensuring we source sustainable, inclusive and cost-effective workplace and facility services.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with the One Procurement Community, global CRES teams, and in-market leaders across APAC to support consistent sourcing approaches and strong supplier partnerships. You’ll gain exposure to a dynamic, matrixed environment, working with teams to identify opportunities, solve problems and deliver value. Reporting to the Head of Indirect Procurement APAC, this is a great opportunity to grow your procurement expertise while contributing to positive workplace experiences that connect and inspire Diageo’s people every day.

What does this role look like for you?

  • Shape the APAC workplace experience by supporting category performance across our FM/RE portfolio. Learning how to balance cost, cash, compliance and supplier performance while ensuring our sites remain inspiring, functional and future-ready.
  • Grow as a strategic problem solver by contributing to the development and continuous improvement of the ategory strategy, building market insight, challenging legacy processes and helping drive transformation across our regional footprint.
  • Deepen your commercial and stakeholder influence as you partner closely with in-market leaders, finance teams, CRES, and procurement colleagues to align business needs with sourcing strategies that deliver long-term value and operational continuity.
  • Expand your global mentality through active collaboration with Diageo’s global category community, sharing APAC insights, learning from peers across markets, and contributing to global strategic direction.
  • Strengthen your procurement craft by working with GBO teams to enhance user experience, streamline source-to-pay processes, and adopt new digital tools and ways of working that modernise how Procurement delivers value.
  • Build trusted, high-impact relationships with partners and suppliers, influencing decisions across property services, facility management, lease negotiations and workplace projects while ensuring our workspaces reflect Diageo’s ambition and culture.

What will you bring to the table?

  • Previous procurement expertise, with extensive experience in category management (ideally within FMCG) and strong exposure to FM/RE or capital project environments.
  • A cross-market perspective, bringing cultural awareness, inclusivity and the ability to navigate diverse stakeholder groups with confidence and sensitivity.
  • A passion for transformation, continuously challenging the status quo and motivating change through data-led decision making, commercial acumen and clear purpose.
  • Resilience and adaptability, thriving in fast-paced, evolving environments and staying optimistic, solution-focused and composed through ambiguity or setbacks.
  • Strong personal integrity and accountability, consistently role-modelling professionalism, trustworthiness and sound judgment.
