Job Title: Manager – Supplier Development – P4

Job Description:

Execute supplier development initiatives to improve quality, delivery, and sustainability, ensuring suppliers meet global aerospace standards. The role requires strong on-site presence (≈70%) at assigned suppliers to drive hands-on improvement, recovery, and capability building.

  • Lead and deploy APQP activities with suppliers for new, transferred, or high-risk parts.
  • Ensure robust PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and PPAP readiness at suppliers and ensure quality at rate.
  • Perform assessments of the supplier’s capability and sustain performance through regular the Supplier Health & Risk Assessment.
  • Establish supplier baseline performance metrics and track improvement trends.
  • Work transfer Management of projects with strong focus on Development and industrialization to support regional growth.
  • Drive delivery (including overdue reduction, buffer compliance, Commit Compliance) at each supplier by using diagnostic tools such as: Supplier Readiness Assessment (SRA), Line of Balance (LOB) and other Collins tools (Using Lean tools like VSM, SPC Studies, 5S & 3P Methods).
  • Drive risk mitigation actions for process, capacity, and supply continuity risks.
  • Develop and execute Supplier Improvement Plans (SIP) focused on sustainable performance.
  • Drive root cause analysis for delivery failures, and capacity constraints.
  • Work directly with supplier leadership, engineering, quality, and operations teams.
  • Follow-up with the Collins and supplier team to validate the gap plan and monitor progress to ensure the benefits are achieved.
  • Candidate will spend approximately 70% of their time on-site at their assigned suppliers.

Education & Qualification:

  • BE with 10 to 12 years’ experience in Engineering/Supply Chain/Manufacturing or related area with a continued proven track record of performance achievement, and growth with increased level of responsibility in an operations environment
  • Experience in Aerospace and Defense parts manufacturing would be preferred
  • Hands-on experience with strong structured project management and problem-solving skills using continuous improvement methodologies

Communication Skills/Other Skills

  • Strong experience in supplier development, manufacturing operations.
  • Hands-on knowledge of APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
