Role Overview:

The SAP Supply Chain Planning Specialist will be responsible for the configuration, optimization, and support of our SAP ECC and/or SAP S4 solutions as they relate to supply chain planning. This role requires 3 to 5 years of direct experience in SAP supply chain environments, with a focus on Master Data, MRP, and cross-functional collaboration. The successful candidate will act as a key bridge between business stakeholders, technical teams, and other SAP modules, ensuring seamless integration and communication throughout the organization.

What will you do in this role:

  • SAP Supply Chain Planning Implementation and Production Support: Lead and participate in projects related to the design, configuration, and rollout of SAP ECC / SAP S4 supply chain planning modules, ensuring best practices and alignment with business goals.
  • System Configuration: Configure and optimize SAP ECC / SAP S4 for supply chain planning, including parameter setting, customization, and enhancement to support evolving business requirements.
  • MRP Expertise: Utilize comprehensive knowledge of Classic MRP and MRP Live to design, deploy, and fine-tune materials planning processes. Troubleshoot issues and provide solutions to maximize supply chain efficiency.
  • Master Data Management: Maintain and enhance master data relevant to supply chain planning, with a deep understanding of data dependencies and ownership across business functions. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data integrity and consistency.
  • Cross-Module Collaboration: Work with other SAP module owners (such as SD, MM, PP, and FI) to understand and address implications for supply chain planning. Provide expert input on integration points and process flow between modules.
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with technical teams to design and develop custom solutions that meet specific business or operational needs. Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for development and testing.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Engage with stakeholders at various levels of the organization to understand needs, gather requirements, and present solutions. Facilitate meetings, workshops, and training sessions as required.
  • Technical Communication: Distill complex technical details into simple, clear business language for both technical and non-technical audiences. Prepare documentation, reports, and presentations to support decision-making and knowledge transfer.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend enhancements in SAP supply chain planning. Stay abreast of product updates, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Support and Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing support to users, respond to queries, and resolve issues related to SAP supply chain planning modules in a timely and effective manner.

What Should you have:

  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience working with SAP Supply Chain Planning solutions, including SAP ECC and/or SAP S4.
  • System Configuration: Demonstrated expertise in configuring SAP ECC / SAP S4 for supply chain planning purposes.
  • MRP(Material Requirement Planning) Skills: In-depth, hands-on experience with both Classic MRP and MRP Live functionalities within SAP supply chain planning.
  • Master Data: Strong understanding of Master Data as it pertains to supply chain planning, including data owned by other business functions such as procurement, manufacturing, sales, and finance.
  • Cross-Module Knowledge: Experience working with other SAP modules and an ability to assess and communicate their impact on supply chain planning processes.
  • Custom Solutions: Proven ability to collaborate with technical teams to design, develop, and implement custom solutions tailored to business needs.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at various organizational levels.
  • Business Language: Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, easy-to-understand business language for stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Knowledge about other planning platform like Kinaxis Maestro, SAP APO / IBP is added advantage.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capability, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Collaboration: Team player with a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Project Management: Experience managing or participating in SAP-related projects from inception through deployment.
  • Adaptability: Flexible and adaptable to changing business priorities and technical advancements.
  • Self-Motivation: Highly motivated to work independently and proactively seek solutions and improvements.
  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to ongoing professional development and keeping abreast of industry trends in SAP supply chain and business processes.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Certification: Relevant SAP and APICS certifications are highly desirable.
