We are seeking a seasoned life insurance underwriter with over 8 years of experience, specializing in post-issuance underwriting, re-underwriting, and claims re-underwriting. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to handle complex case assessments while collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure underwriting integrity and service excellence.

Job Descriptions:

  • Perform advanced risk assessments for post-issuance underwriting, including policy changes, reinstatements, and re-underwriting triggered by new disclosures or claims.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of claims requiring underwriting reassessment, ensuring alignment with policy terms and underwriting guidelines.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex underwriting cases related to in-force policies and claims.
  • Collaborate with claim team to resolve disputed or high-risk cases.
  • Assist in refining underwriting guidelines and operational protocols for post-issuance and claims-related underwriting.
  • Provide coaching and technical training to underwriting staff to support knowledge sharing and team development.
  • Monitor operational performance and ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in life insurance underwriting, with proven expertise in post-issuance and claims re-underwriting.
  • At least 4 years in a supervisory or specialist role.
  • Professional qualifications such as FLMI or equivalent are required.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • University degree in any discipline.
  • Proficiency in English and Cantonese; Putonghua is an advantage.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Chinese word processing.
