Position Summary
The Manager, Joint Ventures & Strategic Growth helps provide leadership for performance optimization and development of joint ventures, as well as support the joint venture governance structure for the health system. In addition, the role provides assistance as needed for the health system strategic planning process and for other strategic growth projects. The role partners with executive and operational leaders to ensure alignment with system strategy, advance enterprise initiatives, and support complex cross-functional projects that influence system performance.Essential Functions
1. Enterprise Joint Venture Governance Program Management
Provides program management support to the AVP, Joint Venture Operations and Development and SVP, Chief Growth Officer for enterprise level governance across the system’s full joint venture portfolio via the Joint Venture Governance Council. Drives preparation of governance materials and portfolio reporting, tracks decisions and action items to closure, helps develop policies, and supports standardization of governance structures, processes, and meeting cadence.
2. Joint Venture Performance Management and Reporting
Develops, maintains, and analyzes portfolio wide joint venture performance dashboards, KPIs, scorecards, and trend analyses. Translates financial, operational, and quality data into executive and board ready reports to support governance review, oversight, and decision making.
3. Strategic Growth Execution for Joint Ventures
Supports and advances strategic growth initiatives across the joint venture portfolio, as well as other strategic growth projects as needed. Evaluates expansion opportunities, operating model optimization, and scalability of best practices to support sustainable growth.
4. New Joint Venture Development Support
Assists in the evaluation, planning, and development of new joint venture opportunities, including market assessments, business case development, and financial and operating model analysis. Coordinates with finance, legal, clinical, and operational leaders to support informed investment and partnership decisions.
5. Enterprise Strategy Program Support and Execution
Provides program support to the VP of Strategic Planning for enterprise-wide strategy initiatives and implementation as needed. Develops supporting analyses, coordinates cross functional inputs, prepares executive ready deliverables, and tracks initiative milestones, risks, and dependencies to support successful execution.
6. Cross Functional Enterprise Leadership and Issue Resolution
Leads and coordinates collaboration across clinical, operational, financial, legal, and administrative stakeholders, in partnership with the AVP of Joint Venture Operations and Development and the VP of Strategic Planning, to identify risks, resolve complex issues, and ensure joint venture and enterprise strategy initiatives are aligned with system objectives and governance standards.
7. System Level Governance and Oversight Improvement
Partners with the Joint Venture Governance Council and AVP leadership to design, implement, and continuously improve system level joint venture governance frameworks, oversight processes, standards, and performance reporting across the entire joint venture portfolio.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, nursing, or a related healthcare field
Master’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred
Five years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare operations, enterprise strategy, joint ventures, or related roles
Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise-wide initiatives involving senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders
Experience preparing executive level analyses, governance materials, or strategic deliverables that inform leadership decision making
Minimum three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or lead capacity
Experience within a multi-market or integrated healthcare delivery system preferred
Direct experience supporting or managing ambulatory surgery center, rehabilitation, or other joint venture arrangements preferred
Experience partnering with enterprise strategy or strategic planning functions preferred
Completion of a healthcare administrative fellowship or formal leadership development program preferred
Experience developing or using KPI dashboards, scorecards, or enterprise reporting tools preferred
Consideration will be given to internal candidates not meeting minimum qualifications

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $107,598.00 - $154,814.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
