Manager, Health and Safety
Where will you work: This position will be located at our NA business headquarters at 13830 Circa Crossing Drive | Lithia, FL.
Travel and location impact: 30%-40% in the US
As the Manager, Health and Safety of Mosaic’s Health & Safety (H\&S) programs, you’ll play a critical role in creating a safe, healthy, and engaged workplace. You’ll work closely with operations to provide expert guidance that ensures our sites meet the highest standards of safety and compliance. Your focus will be on identifying and addressing potential risks, recommending practical solutions, and driving initiatives that prevent injuries and illnesses. What you’ll do:
Partner with leadership to develop H&S strategy, initiatives, goals, and targets aligned with business objectives and Mosaic standards.
Coach and mentor H&S professionals and operations leaders on programs, regulations, and culture of care.
Provide technical expertise to ensure safe work conditions and compliance with regulations and company policies.
Support audits, risk assessments, risk reduction projects, PSM activities, behavior-based safety, capital projects and insurance programs.
Lead implementation of Mosaic H&S site programs, including site-specific procedures and MMS elements.
Maintain visible presence in the field to provide timely support, solutions, and advice.
Lead or support incident investigations from containment through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Collaborate with Occupational Health staff for medical treatment, case management, and return-to-work processes.
What you’ll need:
A bachelor’s degree in engineering, safety, sciences, psychology or related
15+ years of experience with recent responsibility for safety leadership will be considered in lieu of education
8+ years of safety experience
3+ years of leadership experience
Comfortable and able to communicate with all levels of the organization
Proven ability to prioritize based on business need and follow through on commitments.
Proven problem solver able to anticipate operations need and provide solutions
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, etc.
Advanced English

8+ years of project management experience
Intermediate abilities in Spanish
