About the Role
We’re looking for a Manager, E-Commerce Site Merchandising who will be responsible for driving online sales, conversion rates, and profitability by optimizing product categorization, search, navigation, and visual presentation. You will align site content with marketing campaigns and collaborate with marketing on brand storytelling, manage the promotional calendar, analyze customer behavior, and ensure a seamless, user-friendly shopping experience. You will also be responsible for analyzing data and market trends to optimize our product assortment and make informed business decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including e-commerce leaders, marketing, creative, and product development to ensure our website offers a seamless shopping experience that drives conversion and revenue growth. This role will be reporting to the VP, Frame Strategy.
If based in the Bay Area, this role requires occasional in-office presence for monthly team meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Insights-Driven Optimization: Partner with analytics to translate customer behavior and performance data into actionable merchandising strategies that improve discoverability, engagement, and conversion. Enhance product search/taxonomy for better product discovery, navigation, site search performance, and product placement (sorting rules) to improve visibility and conversion. Curate collections and ensure product listings are accurate.
- Personalization Strategy Collaboration and Partnership: Contribute to the onsite personalization roadmap, including dynamic PLP/PDP recommendations, search re-ranking, and segmented content experiences to improve relevance and conversion. Provide guidance on the content strategy (frame/lens products and curations) for each customer segment.
- A/B Testing & Experimentation: Experience in defining and using A/B and multivariate testing to validate hypotheses, optimize the conversion funnel, and continuously improve merchandising decisions.
- Promotional Strategy & Execution: Financial & Margin Accountability, Support in defining promotion strategies grounded in margin analysis, ensuring discounting, bundling, and upsell tactics balance revenue growth with profitability targets. Partner with cross-functional teams (marketing, product) to execute the digital promotional calendar, including key brand events (e.g., Black Friday, seasonal launches).
- Onsite Storytelling Enhancement: Own and elevate the brand storytelling across the site, ensuring campaigns, product launches, and evergreen content create a cohesive, engaging narrative aligned with brand and commercial goals.
- Content & Promotion Management: Coordinate the launch of products, promotional banners, and seasonal content, ensuring alignment with marketing calendars. Collaborate with creative partners to align site content with the campaigns.
- Merchandising Strategy: Execute category plans, curate collections, and manage product bundling/up-sell/cross-sell strategies to increase average order value.
- Contentful CMS Expertise: Manage and optimize site content through the Contentful CMS
- Analytics & Reporting: Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rate, bounce rate, and revenue per visit to identify trends and opportunities. Utilize data analytics to measure site performance, evaluate promotion effectiveness, and adjust strategies to drive sales.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Frames Operations, Marketing, Product, and IT teams to align inventory, marketing messaging, and site functionality. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing tasks based on business objectives, demonstrating strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Product Knowledge: Partner with the Product team to ensure product and technical specs are accurately translated for the consumer.
- Team Leadership: Responsible for management of Site Merchandising Team members. Other management tasks include, but are not limited to, providing input and direction on such topics as key goals and objectives; strategic and tactical planning, implementation and execution; and associate management, training and development.
- This position will primarily interact with e-commerce leaders, merchandising and category managers, product and marketing teams, and occasionally collaborate with senior-level management.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years in e-commerce merchandising (Eyewear, Fashion, Accessories, or Health/Beauty preferred) with a strong affinity for the product
- Experience with e-commerce platforms and web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, ContentSquare, merchandising tools like Algolia, or Bloomreach
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to make informed decisions, ability to pivot a strategy mid-day if you see a dip in the conversion funnel
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proven ability to translate promotions and campaigns into high-converting site traffic
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and how to optimize website content for search engines

Compensation
In addition to other forms of compensation, such as perks and benefits, the estimated salary range for this role is $97,000 - $121,200 for candidates outside of California. For California-based candidates, the estimated salary range is $106,700 - $133,320/year. The final offer will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skill set, experience, geographical location, market conditions, and other organizational needs. The Company reserves the right to change, modify, or revisit the salary range for various reasons including business needs.
