SUMMARY OF POSITION
 

Warner Bros. Discovery Inc. seeks a Manager for Data and Deal Management (DDM).  The DDM Manager will have broad oversight across the various teams/functions including Data Analytics, Cash Management, Stakeholder Management, Participations Setups, and Month End Close as well as provide support for the rest of Financial Contract Reporting and Administration (FCRA) division.  This role is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Mexico City team and ensures that tasks/projects to support DDM and the rest of FCRA are completed timely and accurately according to business standards.  This is an exciting role, which will work closely with DDM and FCRA leadership and business finance counterparts to develop deep knowledge and competency across all areas of the department/division and Studio’s businesses.  Additionally, the Manager will be responsible for process improvement, and ongoing support of the standardization/transition efforts for the department and may be given short-term and long-term special projects by Directors and VPs.

This position requires occasional travel
 
The Manager is an important constituent in ongoing cross-divisional initiatives related to leadership development, system design and testing, knowledge sharing, soft skills training, mentorship opportunities, and special projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:                                                                                        

  • Lead and oversee statement-related operations, including incoming statement uploads, batch adjustments, abstract stakeholder validation, contract shells, delivery setup folders, and the setup and maintenance of new and revised statements to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of the Mexico City team, working in partnership with DDM/FCRA leadership to prioritize workloads, monitor progress, report status, and develop project timelines to ensure business support commitments are met.
  • Drive the ongoing development of team members through performance management, coaching, and training, focusing on professional and interpersonal skills, business knowledge, engagement, and achievement of departmental goals.
  • Partner with DDM/FCRA leadership and the Mexico City People & Culture team on recruitment, onboarding, training, organizational design, and long‑term workforce planning to support a sustainable and scalable operating model.
  • Identify, recommend, and support system and process improvements across DDM/FCRA (including Sylvester, JIRA, and related tools), participating in requirements definition, design, testing, process documentation, and change management efforts.
  • Perform, supervise, and approve special projects, analyses, research, and daily operational activities, while evaluating staff performance and providing actionable feedback to management and team members.

JOB QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Finance or Accounting preferred). CPA, MBA, or Project Management certification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of overall professional Data or Tech experience, including 1–2 years of prior people management experience, with demonstrated leadership and the ability to take on progressively greater responsibility.
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills required, with prior training and presentation experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a large, multinational corporate environment, including experience working in a matrixed organization and managing assignments from multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience working with blended and distributed teams, including outsourced providers and multiple time zones, preferred.
  • Public or private audit and/or consulting experience preferred; prior entertainment industry experience a plus.
  • Experience with system implementations, enhancements, and user testing preferred; strong competency working with multiple business systems and applications, including SAP, with the ability and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Advanced proficiency required in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word; strong analytical skills, including advanced mathematical and algebraic reasoning.
  • Ability to read and interpret digests and abstracts of legal agreements required.
  • Strong planning, organizational, time management, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage high‑volume workloads in a fast‑paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving skills with the ability to conceptualize, clearly communicate, and implement solutions; solution‑oriented mindset with the ability to think creatively and independently.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, meet deadlines, work overtime as required, and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Highly detail‑oriented while maintaining a strong understanding of the broader business context; strong interpersonal and customer‑focused skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of management and cross‑functional partners (operational, financial, legal, IT, and executive).
