Job Summary

Based out of Comcast Corporation’s global headquarters in Philadelphia, the Manager of Corporate and Financial Communications will be a part of the team that has broad responsibilities around driving the company’s strategic vision and financial narrative with the financial and business press, locally, nationally, and globally. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and attention-to-detail skills with a strong ability to develop succinct key messages quickly in a fast-paced and rapidly changing media and technology industry.  She/he will work on an array of projects, including supporting communications on quarterly earnings announcements, venture capital investments and partnerships, corporate governance, shareholder meetings, among other areas.  Additionally, the top candidate will support communications initiatives pertaining to Comcast’s presence in Philadelphia, including special events.  

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the Corporate and Financial Communications team and support communications initiatives around quarterly earnings announcements, venture capital investments, entrepreneurial engagement, corporate governance, shareholder meetings, among other areas.
  • Work on projects pertaining to special events, and Comcast’s presence in Philadelphia pertaining to its corporate headquarters.
  • Develop and write communications materials, including drafts of press releases and blog posts, as well as executive communications.
  • Write key messages, statements, etc., on financial and non-financial company matters.
  • Support communications pertaining to content programming agreements.
  • Partner with NBCUniversal and Sky on their communications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5-7 years of experience in public relations or related experience in strategic communications within an agency or corporate environment.
  • Excellent attention-to-detail skills, including writing error free messaging and communications materials.
  • Collaborative and team player, punctual attendance, and willing to be available 24-7 given the global nature of the company.
  • Creative thinker who can constantly develop new ideas to help drive the company’s reputation forward.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
